The Summer Festival takes place within the 196 acre Park at Alexandra Palace, one of London’s most iconic events venues, with stunning panoramic views of the capital. The Summer Festival is an Alexandra Palace run community event, entirely managed by our in house team.
Opened in 1873 as an entertainments venue for Victorian London, Alexandra Palace has been at the centre of extraordinary events for over 140 years including the first regular television broadcast in 1936 by the BBC.
We maintain this original enterprising spirit by hosting an eclectic mix of live music, sports, cultural events each year. With gigs from the likes of The Libertines, Florence and the Machine and Faithless, sporting event such as the The World Darts Championship and the Redbull Soapbox Race, exhibitions, festivals and more.
Affectionately known as ‘Ally Pally’ – in everything we do we still aim to retain the original site’s purpose as ‘The People’s Palace’.
